WHY CAN'T I UPDATE CHRONOSLY TO LAST VERSION?

Is common that some clients are not able to update Chronosly plugin.

This isn's a plugin misfunction and the most common cause is that WordPress don’t have read/write permissions on:

Read / Write plugin folder and subfolders:
wp-content/plugins/chronosly

For manual and plugin autoupdates you should have WordPress 755 permission mode, and probably 775 depending on your system.

chronosly-info-logo For permissions 100% compatibles:

  • Directories permissions 775
  • Files permissions 764

Note: 777 permission is an alternative for 775 if this one doesn't work.
Warning: 777 permission allows everybody to write, be careful.

PERMISSION MODES

  7 5 5
 user group world
 r+w+x r+x r+x
 4+2+1 4+0+1 4+0+1 = 755

The permission mode is computed by adding up the following values for the user, the file group, and for everyone else. The diagram shows how.

  • Read 4 - Allowed to read files
  • Write 2 - Allowed to write/modify files
  • eXecute1 - Read/write/delete/modify/directory
