Create all places where your events will take place.
Set up Places is highly recommended, if not, views with places involved can’t be shown.
This FAQ post include these topics:
1. PLACES VIEWS
There are 2 different places views:
1.1 General View
how the place is displayed in the list of places.
1.2 Inner page view
It is the inner view of your place, a single page on the place, where all the information is shown.
2. HOW TO CREATE PLACES
There are two ways to create places:
2.1 In Events > Add new event
when you are adding a new event or within Events> Event when editing an event already created.
By default, if you have not changed the display options, find Places on the right sidebar.
2.2 Within Events> Organizers
Using the left sidebar into Chronosly Events tab.
3. HOW TO SET LATITUDE & LONGITUDE
Latitude & Longitude drag and drop: To set a place in Chronosly calendar, fill in the address information and a map maker will appear at the right location.
-If the map marker doesn’t show the right location we suggest to add all address info including the post code.
-If the map marker is shown in the right street but further to the right, drag and drop the marker to the correct place. You will see that Lat. & Long. are filled in automaticaly and the map will be set up.
Important: If Lat. & Long. has been filled in remember to erase it before changing the address.
Name / Title is mandatory whenever you create a new place. Leave the optional fields in blank and will not appear.
-When you're creating a new place (even if you edit (Edit) a posteriori, once created and place) You can enable or disable featured place:
-Fatured place: give more prominence to a specific venue. Featuring venues means making a single or various places look different from regular ones. Venues you feature are more likely to attract the attention of calendar visitors. Learn how to add featured elements.
4. GOOGLE MAPS SCRIPT PROBLEMS
For our experience with many clients and websites, Google maps script included in Chronosly might cause some troubles. Most of the time, those misfunctions come from gmaps script duplication. That means other plugin/s installed in a site already has a gmaps script included.
Google maps only allow loading its script once within same site, so maps would not display or just generate errors.
To solve it, Chronosly include an option to enable/disable gmaps script.
You would find enable/disable gmaps script option within:
Chronosly > Settings > Incompatibilities
